Protesters storm APC secretariat, insist on Ganduje’s sack

Former Kano State governor and APC chairman Abdullahi Ganduje

All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful from the North Central geo-political zone have stormed the national secretariat of the party with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Led by Hamisu Suleiman, the protesters insisted that the continuous stay of Ganduje as APC national chairman was in clear breach of the party’s constitution.

Chanting “we no go gree o, we no go gree,” the aggrieved party members, brandished placards with inscriptions such as “Return national chairmanship seat back to North Central”, “President Tinubu, remove Ganduje now”, “It is illegal to allow Ganduje remain as chairman of our party”, “Enough is Enough of this illegality.”

Having clashed with Ganduje’s supporters at the precincts of the secretariat, the protesters called on the governors of the North Central, billed to meet tomorrow, to lend their voices to the clamour for Ganduje’s removal.

One of the protesters, Sani Ibrahim, called on Tinubu to return the APC chairmanship seat to the North Central, in line with the zoning arrangement of the party.
