Nigeria’s music public relations professional, David Adeyemi, has officially joined the Grammy Recording Academy (GRA), enhancing his position as a seasoned professional in music public relations and marketing.

Adeyemi is expected to bring to the academy his experience spanning various sectors, firmly rooted in the essentials of PR and marketing.

Speaking on his selection, Adeyemi, in a statement, said, “The mission of the Grammy Recording Academy is to recognise excellence in the recording arts and sciences, cultivate the well-being of the music community, and ensure that music remains an indelible part of culture.”

As a new member, he will have the opportunity to vote in the Grammy Awards, participate in professional development programs, access exclusive events, and receive support for career growth, the statement contains.

He further emphasised the value of community in his statement, saying, “Being a voice in the global conversation about music and the future of same is a privilege and an opportunity I do not take for granted.”

Adeyemi graduated from Bowen University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication in April 2021 before founding Pizzazz Media, where he worked with notable clients including Mani Lapussh, Adeoluwa, and Larry Gaaga.

He also holds a master’s degree in Global Journalism and Public Relations from Coventry University.

He began his career as an artist manager, helping Mani Lapussh secure an endorsement deal with TomTom.

By December 2023, he joined Nigeria’s BFA Agency, where he leads the music PR and marketing department, collaborating with global artists such as Davido and Kizz Daniel.

“I led the PR and marketing team in charge of delivering the debut album of one of Nigeria’s finest singers, Minz,” he added, indicating his achievements in the industry.

David’s recent role as Marketing Manager at Vibez Music Factory allowed him to relaunch GoogGirl LA after a three-year break, further proving his effectiveness in music marketing and public relations.
Adeyemi is a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
