IMISIOLUWA Opeyemi Ayanwale simply known as Imisi has won this year’s reality television show, Big Brother Naija (BBNAIJA) season 10 with Dede finishing second. The eccentric firebrand kept viewers glued for 70 days with her boldness, dramatic clashes, and seamless switch between posh and local accents.
Imisi’s spirited candour and resilience positioned her as a fan favourite. She became the fourth female in the history of the show to win the prize money.
The 23-year-old fashion designer and actor from Oyo State gained admiration by building strong alliances, and showing positive vibes. With Faith evicted from the show on Thursday night, October 2, 2025, Kola, Isabella, Imisi, Sultana, Kaybobo, Jason Jae, Mensan, Koyin and Dede made it to the final day to battle for the N150 million prize.
Ahead of the curtain raiser, organisers of the show revealed a final twist: the grand prize was reduced to N80 million after a series of in-house deductions and earnings from housemates’ activities.
The revelation came during Sunday’s tense live briefing at the lounge, where host Big Brother detailed the financial ledger for the remaining housemates.
Originally set at a record-breaking N150 million, the highest in the show’s 19-year history, the prize pool was adjusted based on decisions made throughout the 10-week competition.
Key deductions included a N10 million hit from housemate Kaybobo’s purchase of immunity during the dramatic “Red Phone Twist.”
In that twist, which aired on September 22, Kaybobo accepted a confidential offer from “Agent X” to secure a guaranteed spot in the finale, directly slashing the pot.
Additional costs originated from personal requests, including Koyin’s family visit and hair styling session, which organisers confirmed incurred further expenses against the collective prize.
The 10th season of the show, themed 10 over 10, has delivered a spectacle of strategy, rivalry and romance that kept audiences across Africa glued to their screens for 70 days. From its dramatic double opening nights on July 27 and 28, 2025 to the last eviction show, the season unfolded like a soap opera, with shifting alliances, tangled relationships and unforgettable moments that redefined the franchise.
This season began with 29 housemates whose diverse personalities shaped the rhythm of life in Biggie’s house. Faith, initially seen as calm and caring, embraced controversy after his fallout with Imisi, cementing his role as one of the season’s most splitting figures. However, in one of the season’s most dramatic developments, Faith was disqualified from the competition following a violent confrontation with Sultana. His disqualification has significantly reshaped the dynamics going into the finale.
The final week has been marked by both drama and emotion. Jason Jae holds the distinction of being the first and last Head of House this season and in a humorous twist, Isabella and Imisi were tasked with wearing snail costumes, adding levity to the tense atmosphere. In one of the season’s most emotional moments, Biggie surprised housemates with reunions with their loved ones, made possible when Koyin accepted a N4.5 million offer on behalf of the house.
