In the vibrant world of Afrobeats and DJ culture, few names resonate as powerfully as DJ Fizzy. Born Hafiz Olajunwon Agbabiaka in Lagos, Nigeria, this dynamic artist affectionately dubbed “The Unstoppable DJ” has carved out a niche as a bridge-builder between cultures through his infectious rhythms and high-energy performances.

DJ Fizzy’s journey is one of passion, perseverance, and a deep love for sound that transcends borders.

DJ Fizzy’s entry into the music scene was driven by a simple yet profound inspiration: his lifelong love for music as a listener. “It’s because I love music and I’m a good listener, so I decided to make it professional,” he has shared. Growing up in Lagos, a city filled with musical energy, he honed his skills amid the bustling nightlife and street vibes that define Nigerian entertainment.  By 2019, he was already making waves, recognised as one of the top DJs rocking Lagos parties with his signature style.

His vision extends beyond personal success. As a DJ and artist, DJ Fizzy aims to use his platform to create a “cultural bridge,” uniting people from diverse backgrounds through the universal language of music. He believes music is energy that can shift moods, spark creativity, and drive positive societal change. Particularly focused on empowering youth from the streets, he promotes good vibes, self-expression, and opportunities, proving that greatness can emerge from humble beginnings when fueled by rhythm and direction.

DJ Fizzy’s live performances are where his “unstoppable” moniker truly shines. In November 2024, he electrified crowds at Africa’s largest festival, the Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda, delivering a set that blended Afrobeats with experimental sounds amid over 300 artists from around the world. This marked a pivotal moment, expanding his reach beyond Nigeria.

Fresh off that triumph, 2025 brought a whirlwind South African tour, where he headlined top clubs and events in Johannesburg and Cape Town. His sets infused local Amapiano scenes with Nigerian flair, fostering cross-continental vibes. His monthly “Chop Life Circle” event has hosted rising stars like Fola, Shoday, and TML Vibez, creating a platform for emerging talent while keeping the party alive.

Looking ahead, DJ Fizzy is set to release 4 to 5 new singles back-to-back, including a highly anticipated collaboration with Terry Apala, Raybekah, South Africa’s Optimist Music ZA, TIA, and Ghana’s Hero Boy.  Fans can expect more high-energy anthems that push the boundaries of Afrobeats.
