Nigerian singer and songwriter Abdul Rahman Yusuf, known professionally as Harcher, has released a new single, ‘Angelina’, while continuing a series of performances across the United Kingdom.
The Bullion Records artiste released the song on Saturday, August 15, with the track now available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Audiomack and Boomplay.
The release follows Harcher’s recent performances in Birmingham and London and comes as he continues his scheduled UK appearances.
He performed at Forum Digbeth in Birmingham on August 7 before appearing at Outernet London on August 9. He was also scheduled to perform in Cardiff on August 15, the same day ‘Angelina’ was released, before another performance at Albert Hall in Manchester on August 16.
The timing has allowed Harcher to combine the promotion of new music with a run of live performances, giving audiences in different UK cities an opportunity to hear his music as the tour progresses.
Harcher adds to growing catalogue
Harcher described ‘Angelina’ as a different expression of his creative direction and said he was pleased to finally release the song.
“Angelina is a special song for me because it represents another side of my creativity,” he said. “I have been working on my sound and trying to create music that people can enjoy, connect with and remember.”
The single adds to a catalogue that includes ‘Peace’, ‘L.O.V.E’, ‘Dance to It (Jo Si)’, ‘Stamina’ and ‘Mey Suya’, featuring Fido.
His music incorporates elements of Afrobeats, R&B, pop and street-hop, while his live performances form another part of his engagement with audiences.
The UK dates have also given Harcher an opportunity to perform outside Nigeria and observe how audiences in a different market respond to his music.
He said the experience had broadened his understanding of the connection between music and audiences.
“This UK tour has been a big learning experience for me. Performing in Birmingham and London showed me that music can connect people regardless of where they come from,” he said.
He added that releasing ‘Angelina’ during the tour provided another opportunity to introduce his music to listeners outside Nigeria.
Live shows continue across UK
Following the Birmingham and London performances, Harcher’s tour is scheduled to continue with appearances in Cardiff and Manchester.
The Cardiff performance on August 15 coincided with the release of ‘Angelina’, while his Manchester appearance at Albert Hall is scheduled for August 16.
For an emerging artiste, such performances provide an opportunity to perform for audiences in different cities while testing new material in a live setting.
Harcher said the response from listeners and concertgoers had been important to his development, thanking fans who have streamed his songs, attended his shows and shared his music.

The release of ‘Angelina’ adds another chapter to Harcher’s developing catalogue at a time when his live schedule is taking him beyond Nigeria.
With the single now available across major streaming services and further UK performances scheduled, the artiste is using the tour to perform for new audiences while continuing to develop his sound and profile.
