A Lagos State High Court has restrained Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin from posting or circulating photographs of Priscilla Ojo’s one-year-old son, Rakeem Mkambala, on social media.

The order, granted by Justice Yetunde Adesanya at the Lagos Judicial Division, followed an application filed by Priscilla Ojo, her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Mussa Mkambala, and their son.

The court specifically barred Lizzy Anjorin from publishing, uploading, circulating or broadcasting photographs of the child across social media platforms.

The restriction also extends to publishing or broadcasting editorials concerning the applicants on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and TikTok.

The order reportedly identified several social media accounts allegedly associated with Anjorin.

The latest development adds a legal dimension to the highly publicised dispute involving Anjorin and members of Ojo’s family, which has largely played out on social media.

Rather than remaining a war of words online, the controversy has now reached the courtroom, with the court placing restrictions on what Anjorin can share concerning Priscilla’s young son.

The order was granted ex parte, meaning the application was heard at that stage without Anjorin being present. It is an interim order pending further proceedings in the case.

Priscilla subsequently made the development public after sharing a copy of the court order on her Instagram Story.

The court’s intervention means that, for now, Anjorin is legally restricted from publishing or circulating the child’s photographs, while the substantive issues in the case remain before the court.

The development comes amid a broader history of public disagreements and legal battles involving Anjorin and members of the Ojo family, with previous controversies also spilling into the courts.

As the matter progresses, attention will now shift from social media exchanges to the legal arguments before the court.
