Red, the official color of Christmas, is also a favorite for most people to wear. Wearing red during this festive period, though, has to be done with a certain finesse to avoid looking too Christmas-y.
Here are a few things to keep in mind before wearing red this Christmas.

1. Go full on glam: To wear red right, it might be wise to do that fearlessly. Try a red outfit and a complementary red lipstick to pull out the inner vixen in you. This look is so strong it eliminates any childishness or gimmick.

2. Avoid feathers: To wear to most occasions, feathers might look good but not at Christmas as this might be a little too tacky. Try as much as possible not to go for a feathered dress or shoe – and definitely not in red.

3. Stay away from red headbands: To wear a headband is risky enough, the last thing you want to do is wear a red headband on Christmas.
