
The matter which is presently before Justice Nathan Musa of Adamawa State High Court, sitting in Yola, has the state governor, Attorney General of the state, Batta Traditional Council and one Mr Anda Alhamdu Teneke, as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th defendants, respectively.
Alhamdu is a retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, while the claimant, Chief MedanTeneke, is a former Commissioner for Special Duties and the title holder of Sarduana Bata. He is also the younger brother to the 4th defendant.
The defendants were dragged before the court by Chief Medan Teneke, the Sardaunan Batta, over their involvements in the struggle on who becomes the next traditional ruler in the ancient kingdom.
