Abiodun commiserates with Adebutu Kessington over wife’s death

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has commiserated with Chairman of Premier Lotto, Chief Kessington Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, over the death of his wife, Rosemary Dacosta Kessington-Adebutu.

The governor expressed his grief in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Kunle Somorin, yesterday, in Abeokuta after news broke of Mrs. Adebutu’s death at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos on Saturday.
“The death of your dear wife is a severe blow to all of us who knew her and a harder blow to you as her husband, friend and confidant. Words cannot adequately convey my heartfelt sorrow over Mama’s death, for she was a kind and beautiful soul, who spread love to all who encountered her,” the statement reads.

Governor Abiodun recalled that the late Mrs. Adebutu was a great philanthropist and businesswoman in her own right.

“She not only supported, but also funded some of the projects for which her husband’s foundation was credited, including award of scholarships, free medical activities to the less privileged, building and renovation of schools, hospitals, mosques and churches for the masses in her lifetime,” he added.

He, however, urged Kessington Adebutu and his family members to be consoled by the fact that the deceased selflessly and fervently served God and humanity during her impactful life on earth.

While seeking God’s intervention for the Adebutus to bear the irreparable loss, Abiodun prayed God Almighty to grant the deceased’ soul eternal peace.
