The lawmaker representing Lagos East zone, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, has urged members of the Council of Tradesmen And Artisans (LASCOTA) in the district to take advantage of the N300m Constituency Intervention Revolving Loan, at a very concessional six per cent interest.

Abiru disclosed this during his meeting with leaders of LASCOTA yesterday, saying,  affordable loans for businesses is the only sustainable way of entrenching prosperity in the society. He said that’s the trust of empowerment for the people.

The Senator urged leaders of the association to encourage their members in Lagos East to apply for the loan when it comes live in April 2022.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of LACOSTA in Lagos East, Mrs Funmilola David, thanked Abiru for the unprecedented achievements he has recorded in the last 13 months. She said LACOSTA is ready to work and collaborate with the lawmaker in the deepening of his interventions to the grassroots.

A former Lagos State lawmaker, Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola and Otunba Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle, special adviser to Abiru on Constituency Matters, who were also at the parley appreciated the LACOSTA leadership for acknowledging the great works of the lawmaker. They assured that greater things are underway.

However, Abiru took LASCOTA’s leadership around the Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL ), a Technology and Innovation space, which is currently situated at the constituency office. Secondary School students between ages 12 and 18 were taking lectures on the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) training.
