IN furtherance of its social entrepreneurship effort, which has directly and positively affected the lives of orphans and children with special needs, Wale Adenuga’s led Worship for Change on Thursday presented a cheque of three million naira to St Mary’s Rehabilitation and Development Centre, Ipetumodu, Osun State, being proceeds from its 2014 Worship For Change concert, which held at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Lagos.

Artistes that performed at the event include, Nosa, Nathaniel Bassey, Freke Umoh, Enitan Adaba and Gaise.

Speaking at the cheque presentation ceremony, convener of the concert, Wale Adenuga said, “Worship For Change is a benefit concert, where we raise money for the less privilege in the society.

“The beneficiary of the proceeds is St Mary’s Rehabilitation and Development Centre, Ipetumodu, Osun State. They have children with all kind of challenges. We believe the token will help the centre purse its vision,” he added.

He noted that since 2006, the yearly concert has helped to raise tremendous awareness and over N20 million to provide support for thousands of children cared for by charities.
