Agency targets quarterly rehabilitation of 50km of roads in Niger

The Niger State Road Maintenance Agency (NIGROMA), yesterday, reiterated its readiness to rehabilitate 50 kilometres of roads each quarter of the year. Managing Director of the Agency, Farouk Umar Audi made the promise during the sample of the state of art equipment purchased for the agency by the state government at Okada road, Minna.
  
Audi disclosed that the state government has purchased Dura Patcher machine equipment for the agency to enable it perform ultimately. He explained that during the period under review, the agency has identified five roads in Minna, the state capital, which are begging for attention. The roads, he said, include, A.A.Kure Market Road, Top Medical, Mandela as well as Obasanjo Complex to Paida Road.

He assured that the agency will intervene in these roads before the end of second quarter, pointing out that the agency is well positioned to compete favourably with any construction firm.
  
NIGROMA boss revealed that Niger State has no fewer than 2,000 kilometres of road network and substantial numbers were in bad shape.  Audi appealed to the people of the State to support governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s administration to enable him succeed.
