Ago-Iwoye indigenes set up foundation for community development

Patriots and residents of Ago-Iwoye community in Ogun State have unveiled the Ago-Iwoye Great Thinkers Trust Foundation (AIGTTF) with a mandate to inject N1 billion worth of developmental projects in the community.

The unveiling of the body was announced by Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Maj.-Gen. Sansadeen Adebanjo Awosanya (rtd) yesterday.

According to Awosanya, the foundation is an offshoot of a WhatsApp platform, the Ago-Iwoye City Development Great Thinkers, created in August 2016 with the sole aim of promoting the town. 

Three committees were unveiled at the event, which were Health Committee headed by Dr. Tokunbo Osineye; Agriculture Committee led by Otunba Olusola Ogundipe and Education/Skills Acquisition and Youth Empowerment Committee led by Dr. Seye Awojobi. They were charged to drum support for implementing projects in their respective committees.

The Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdulrazak Adesina Adenugba, who spoke at the unveiling, expressed delight at the support given to the vision, which he said, had the potential of accelerating the community’s economic activities.
