Aiyedatiwa to transform Ondo into great economic hub, won’t hound opponents, says Adetimehin

Ondo State governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa

Chairman Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ade Adetimehin, yesterday, boasted that the major opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Agbola Ajayi, are no match for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the scheduled November 16 2024 governorship poll.

Adetimehin, in an exclusive with The Guardian Newspaper, also appealed to all the governorship aspirants of APC to support the incumbent governor.
Contrary to the fear that the governor might embark on a revenge mission against his political opponents after winning on November 16, Adetimehin said, Governor Aiyedatiwa would run an inclusive and not vindictive administration, as some may be thinking.
He particularly thanked Senator Jimoh Ibrahim for withdrawing the court case against Aiyedatiwa’s victory at the primary, describing such gesture as a victory before the major victory not only for the incumbent governor but also for APC, the good citizens of Ondo and all the aspirants.

The state chairman also said PDP cannot constitute a threat to APC. “This is because as we speak, all the notable gladiators in the opposition party have defected into APC, therefore reducing the PDP into a cell in Ondo.
Adetimehin further assured the voters in Ondo to set their priorities right during the poll on November 16, saying, “Ondo occupied a critical position in Southwest and it must continue to be on the part of progressives under the likes of Governor Aiyedatiwa, who has not only shown a great commitment to leadership but has also demonstrated that he has what it takes to rule Ondo in fear of good and provide dividends of democracy to the people.

Adetimehin disclosed that one of the critical aims and objectives of Aiyedatiwa administration, is to continue to open up Ondo to a greater economic potential, social development and security stability. “There are already programmes in place to generate employment, reduce crime rate and boost agricultural production in Ondo under the incumbent.
“There is no doubt that Ondo will be seriously transformed under the incumbent governor,” he said.
