The organisers of the Insurance Awards and Consumers’ Nite, Almond Productions Limited, have revealed plans to begin nominations for the category lists in the 2023 series.
The Chief Executive Officer, Almond Productions Limited, Producers of Almond Finance and Wealth Report, Faith Ughwode, said the award is aimed at rewarding the “Can do Spirit” of insurance players in the various arms of the industry.
Ughwode, who spoke at a media briefing in Lagos, said the award is to recognise players who strive daily to sell insurance either to individuals or corporate entities in the country despite the myriad of challenges and obstacles they face year after year.
“We understand that the industry is not where it should be yet by way of penetration and contribution to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It is noble to encourage and appreciate the efforts of insurance players who have always got the short ends of the stick while urging them to do more, which is the essence of this award,” she explained.
