Alsec nominees seek improved corporate governance

Alsec

Thirty-seven years after its establishment, Alsec Nominees Limited has stressed the imperative of strong corporate governance in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of Alsec Nominees Limited, Oyindamola Ehiwere, said that the implementation and practice of good governance enhance the value proposition of organisations.

According to her, companies that take governance and its due process more seriously, tend to be less likely to run into trouble.
Addressing journalists during the rebranding of the firm in Lagos, Ehiwere, shared the firm’s enduring success stories and assured of an inclusive and sustainable future.

Ehiwere added, “With Alsec, you are assured of the best corporate governance support for your organisation.”

In a goodwill message, Udoma Udo Udoma, the founder of the Nigeria law firm Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, recalled the motive for setting up the firm in 1987. “The main objective was the provision of incorporation services to clients wishing to set up businesses in Nigeria and assisting those clients with the corporate administration of their companies,” he said.

Director of Alsec Nominees Limited, Jumoke Lambo, said Alsec has transformed from a company secretarial firm to a strong corporate governance and compliance services practice.

Aniekan Ukpanah, a partner at Udo Udoma and Belo-Osagie, said “Alsec Nominees is arguably the largest company secretarial firm in Nigeria with over 300 clients.”
