Amah-Aluko, Nwadike In Race To Lead Producers’ Association

NwadikeBARRING hitches, a new leadership for the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) will emerge after a general election scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, December 7 at AMP Secretariat, Ogamba Street, Surulere, Lagos. The tenure of Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor elapsed last November and tomorrow’s election is expected to usher in a new executive council.

Already, there are two top contenders for the office of president of the association – Mr. Ralph Nwadike and Mrs. Lilian Amah-Aluko. They have a task to convince delegates to the election that they posses the qualities to lead AMP which got a lot of visibility during the four-year reign of Mr. Okafor as president to greater heights.

Amah-Aluko had been AMP’s vice president under Okafor, but complained of being sidelined and became redundant. She will be the first woman to contest for the office after Madu Chikwendu, Paul Obazele and Okafor have each held office as past AMP presidents.
