‘APC membership to form basis for appointments, others’

Ganduje

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has stated that those angling for appointive positions in the country would no longer be considered if they are not registered members of the party.

Speaking during APC e-membership registration’s train the trainer workshop yesterday in Abuja, he explained that the exercise would enable the party’s leadership to have a graphic idea of the number of members nationwide.

The former governor of Kano State said the process would not only foster planning, decision-making and projection, but will equally serve as a basis of reference for any member seeking appointment at any level or desiring to contest an election.

He disclosed that the application and portal, which the prospective trainees from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are to use, will soon be reactivated for existing and new members to register across the world.

Ganduje explained that every person is to provide his or her biometric data that tally with the ones captured in the National Identity Number (NIN), adding that by so doing, any member whose name appears on the digital register “shall be deemed to be true and faithful members of our great party.”

Reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of the ruling party to set new standards and benchmarks in the nation’s democratic space and ensure the sustenance of APC government at all levels, the national chairman called on the Ministers of Communication, Innovations and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani and Uche Nnaji, to assist the party with technical assistance towards achieving the objective.

He charged the trainees to be attentive so they could effectively impart the knowledge to people to be engaged in the exercise.
