Applications open for next Afrobeats star

Beyond the melanin, wealth in heritage and uncommon mineral resources, one other very prominent element of Africa is how incredibly talented her people are. Little wonder African music creators are flying the flag of afrobeats culture across borders to all parts of the world. And yet again, another opportunity for more underground artists to join the league of these global flag bearers has been created by Ultima Studios.

From the producers of popular African TV reality shows like Project Fame which geared the likes of Iyanya, Niniola , Johnny Drille and Praiz to stardom, Next Afrobeats Star is a television reality show to be produced by Ultima Studios with the aim of fishing out the purest afrobeats talents that there are and helping them find their way to the biggest stages on the planet.

For over three decades, Ultima Studios has been at the forefront of employing cutting-edge 21st century technology to provide Nigerians and Africans at large with multimedia entertainment products.

In 1989, the company installed Nigeria’s first satellite dishes and has since then been behind the adaptation of some of the nation’s favourite TV game shows, Lagos’ UFM and many other remarkable feats. In this trend, Next Afrobeats Star will set the pace for discovering new acts in the scene across the continent.

Alongside fellow A-list producers P. Priime, Puffy Tee and Andre Vibez, Sarz will be one of the judges at Next Afrobeats Star, with the show scheduled to kick off in April, 2024.

It will air for 10 weeks straight, with stunning performances, cameo appearances, intriguing competition and reality drama.
