ORS Olive Oil has partnered with the Nigerian Association of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists, (NASHCO), Lagos chapter, to position the association for international recognition and increase its value locally.
The newly elected president of NASHCO, Mr. Michael Onyeanu, while speaking after the inauguration of new executives at the association’s headquarters at Akesan, Lagos recently, said to maintain a strong and vibrant economy, the informal sector, such as the association, must be an integral part of economic workforce of development and training.
He said NASHCO has been committed from inception towards providing the country with desperately needed skilled hair professionals that have succeeded.
Onyeanu said NASHCO is the first and largest hair and beauty industry that has graduated students who are doing well in their chosen career.
He added that the association has also established itself as a vital access point to capacity building before the government prioritised it.
He also noted that the association, in committing itself toward providing employment, has opened a service-oriented salon with professionals in each speciality for youths.
Speaking on the inauguration, Onyeanu assured that the new executives will run an inclusive government that will encourage and protect all its members in the state as well as create synergy among members zonal heads, chairpersons, ambassadors and all former executives.
He further appreciated the efforts of ORS, saying the brand has been one of the major partners for NASHCO.
“ORS Olive Oil as the star manufacturer of the day, has partnered with NAHSCO to celebrate the achievements of the outgoing executives. The brand also sponsored the construction of the association’s secretariat,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the Business Head, African Consumer Care Limited, Sanjay Kashyap, explained that his firm is putting a lot of effort to entrench best haircare practice among professionals across Nigeria.
Kashyap said ORS Olive Oil was driving this at the state and national levels of the hairstylist associations, via education support.
