Obi Cubana, Blord, Egungun, Elizabeth Jones, others set to receive Lagos Entrepreneurs Awards 2025

All is set for the grand celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and fintech advancement at the Lagos Entrepreneurs Awards 2025.

The prestigious event with the theme: “Shaping the Future of Entrepreneurship Using Fintech,” is scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event hosted by Great Emerald Multi Services, the annual Lagos Entrepreneurs Awards continues to honour individuals and organisations making significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic landscape.

This year’s edition is uniquely positioned to highlight the impact of fintech in fostering business growth, digital transformation, and inclusive economic opportunities across the continent.

Convener of the Awards, Amb. Okafor Uche, said: “This year’s theme reflects a new wave of business empowerment. Fintech is not just a tool—it is a catalyst. We are recognising those who are building, transforming, and digitising the way we do business in Africa.”

The third edition will feature more than 30 award categories across sectors, with special recognition given to a selection of outstanding personalities and brands who have made indelible marks in their industries.

A household name in Nigerian entrepreneurship, hospitality, and philanthropy, Obi Cubana will be honoured by popular demand with the People’s Choice Award for his consistent inspiration, influence, and support to aspiring business owners.

Billpoint will also receive recognition bagging the Fintech Per Excellence of the Year for revolutionising digital payments, providing seamless, secure, and scalable solutions that empower both individuals and businesses.

Egungun is set to bag the Content Creator of the Year at the award.
With viral creativity and culturally relevant content, Egungun has become a voice of humour and social commentary, capturing the attention of millions online.

The Female Entrepreneur of the Year goes to Elizabeth Jones. Elizabeth has been a trailblazer in the business space, creating employment opportunities and building Eli Jones, a fashion and style brand that stands for excellence, innovation, and social impact.

Another awardee is Olayemi Falese. Olayemi stands out for his entrepreneurial leadership, vision, and consistency in building sustainable enterprises that contribute to Nigeria’s economic development. Falese is set to bag the Entrepreneur of the Year.

The awards ceremony will feature a Fintech Excellence Roundtable with leaders where which we’ll discuss how fintech is shaping access to capital, expanding business ecosystems, and building a digital economy for Africa.

Other highlights of the event include award presentations across more than 30 categories, special recognition to social impact figures like King Michie among others. The event will also feature startup exhibition and entrepreneurial impact showcase, networking opportunities with CEOs, investors, and policymakers.
