Oshun, while reacting to the comments by the elder statesman that he would not recognise Tinubu as President, said Adebanjo should forget the past and allow Tinubu be.”

In another reaction, a former lawmaker, who represented Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Lanre Odubote, said it was high time leaders of Yoruba had appealed to Adebanjo over Tinubu’s matter “not only in Yoruba interest but Nigeria in general.”
He said what should be paramount to Adebanjo now is how to unite the warring factions of Afenifere, especially the bridge between him and Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

MEANWHILE, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, yesterday, said the chasm between leaders of Afenifere would soon become a thing of the past. Makinde gave the assurance shortly after a meeting to reconcile warring factions in the group, which was held at the Subomi Balogun Conference Hall, University of Ibadan.

The governor, who spoke with journalists, said the meeting centred around reconciling the two factional leaders of Afenifere, Pa Adebanjo and Pa Fasoranti. He appealed to the two warring leaders to sheathe their swords, noting that politics had come and gone and the unity of the Yoruba race should be paramount to every leader of the group.
