Star actress, Omowunmi Dada, has received a certificate of honour after completing her teaching job at Michigan University, United States. The Ayinla and Oloture star was presented with the certificate for her commendable effort as an artist-in-residence. Adeolu

Actor Funsho Adeolu Calls ‘Poliactors’ Out
NOTABLE cross over actor, Funsho Adeolu, is in the news. The actor made headlines when he hit ‘hard’ at some of his colleagues who have ventured into politics. Funsho known for being very blunt has described actors who venture into politics as ‘unreal’. The stocky actor declared in a recent interview with the comedian and show host Teju Babyface that a ‘real actor cannot be a politicians’. Although he didn’t mention names, but the actor averred that actors cannot be politicians. “All these other people (his colleague that are politicians) are not actors. An actor cannot be a politician,” he declared adding that an actor should not be in politics as you can’t play both roles and be real. Pressed to be specific about his declaration, and asked if he considers a notable actor who ventured into politics in Lagos state as an actor, the actor who is popular among fans of movies produced in Yoruba language simply asserted that actors should face their profession and leave politics for politicians as no successful actor can be a politician. Moviedom has commissioned a search party for Funsho Adeolu. We need him to expatiate more.

Omoni Oboli

Omoni Oboli’s‘Awaiting Grandma’
IF you are a close friend or fan of the notable actress, writer, producer and director Omoni Oboli and you describe her as latest ‘Awaiting grandma’, you will not be wrong. Why? Tobe, son of the actress and producer of plenty credits including Wives on Strike and Okafor’s Law is now well married to his fiancée Marelle. The colourful wedding, which was witnessed by close family members and friend held in Canada at the weekend. Sources hinted that Tobe, the first of the three sons born to Nnamdi and Omoni Oboli met his fiancée in Canada where his parents (the Oboli’s) now reside. One thing led to another and today, a ‘whitee’ as the source quipped has now joined the Oboli’s as daughter-in-law. An elated Omoni took to her social media handles to share the breaking news about the august wedding in March. The actress captioned one of the pictures she shared thus: ‘God did. It was a cold winter evening but it was very warm in our hearts. We had the most beautiful wedding ever with close family and friends. Still reeling from the beauty of that day. Thank you Jesus. Presenting the latest Mr (Tobe) and Mrs (Marelle) Oboli.” We at Moviedom say congratulations to Tobe and Marelle and to the latest ‘awaiting’ grandma and grandpa — Nnamdi and Omoni Oboli.

This year’s best documentary award went to 20 Days in Mariupol, about Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine.
