With a philosophy that every story has the potential to connect and inspire if told right, the visionary CEO of Emiralty Africa Arts Creation, Bello Idris Olakunle, has redefined the intersection of media, branding, and arts development, carving a path of excellence in a competitive industry.

At the heart of Idris’s success lies his deep belief in storytelling as a universal connector. “I believe in the power of storytelling – not just in movies but in the way we present brands and ideas,” he said.

Idris’s journey began in academia, where he served as a lecturer in the Department of Performing and Film Arts at Elizade University, Ondo State, from 2018 to 2023. Armed with a master’s degree in Performing Arts and a portfolio of published academic articles in respected journals, he nurtured a new generation of creatives.

Despite the fulfillment teaching brought, his passion for the dynamism of the entertainment industry eventually prompted him to transition fully into PR and branding.

“Teaching was fulfilling, but my heart was always drawn to the limitless possibilities of entertainment and branding,” Idris reflects on his decision to leave academia.

As a thought leader in arts development, Idris is committed to nurturing talent and expanding African storytelling’s global appeal. “The African narrative is rich and diverse, and it’s up to us to tell it in ways that resonate globally. That’s my mission,” he said.

Through Emiralty Africa Arts Creation, Idris has worked with some of Nollywood’s biggest names, including Adebayo Salami, Femi Adebayo, Muhyideen Oladapo, Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, and Eniola Ajao.

His expertise in marketing their films and enhancing their brand visibility has been instrumental in amplifying their reach. “Collaboration is the soul of creativity. Working with these icons has taught me the importance of unity and shared vision in creating impactful projects,” Idris said.
