With his just-released two-tracker record dubbed, Joe’s Ghost, the blooming musician restates his prowess on the scoreboard of Afrobeats most enigmatic end-of-year drops.
Starting with the love spinner, ‘Kwabena’, Man Like Joe rehashes his storytelling enigma as he serenades his lover with deep expressions of affection and infatuation. The record’s second song, ‘Let Go’, travels along similar sonic terrains, as he neatly glides across his cocktail of Soul, RnB and Hip-hop.
Man Like Joe’s musical foray started in secondary school where he learned to play the violin and saxophone. He released his debut single, in 2019, dubbed ‘Aaliyah’, before cementing his zealous candour with a 3-track EP dubbedJoe’s Cruise.
On Joe’s Ghost, Man Like Joe dazzles for his brilliant vocal delivery, as well as thematic songwriting that pits him against other vibrant voices within this era of Afrobeats.
The singer also revealed his desire to work with global superstars such as Runtown, Don Toliver, and Travis Scott, as he races towards the top-shelf of Afrobeats next generation of superstars.
