mastered the balance. The Lagos-born music executive, real name Tonade Sodiq Olamide, has played a crucial role in shaping the careers of some of Nigeria’s most exciting acts, including Bella Shmurda.

Starting as a music blogger in 2015 with Maybreedblog before co-running GistMP3, Maybreed’s industry journey took off when he joined DJ Kaywise’s camp as a PA, managing digital engagement for Kaywise Set on Soundcity FM.

This period allowed him to build key relationships, eventually leading him to launch Canny Consults, a music distribution outfit that would handle Bella Shmurda’s Vision 2020, High Tension EP, and Cash App. By 2021, he co-founded Dangbana Republik, further shaping Bella’s brand into a movement.

With affiliations across the industry—including DJ Kaywise, DJ 4Kerty, Shoday, CresthoodLegal, and HND Records—Maybreed’s vision is clear: to have fun while building household name in Nigerian entertainment and taking it global.
