Outsyd DJ: I want to push Benin culture with my art

Victory Osadolor, professionally known as Outsyd DJ, is emerging as a key figure in the evolution and new wave of Edo State-born creatives in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Popularly known as the official DJ for leading Afrobeats artist Shallipoppi, Outsyd DJ reinforces himself as a prominent figure with electrifying sets and signature sounds.

Outsyd DJ grew up surrounded by music; Benin City is the home of many great legendary musicians such as Victor Uwaifo, Osayomore Joseph, Majek Fashek, recent phenomenal acts such as Rema, Shallipoppi and more. Edo people love to celebrate and party, so it was no surprise that he developed a knack for blending rhythms and making people dance when he became a professional DJ in 2021.

“Through my journey, I want to push my culture, the artists, DJs, and creatives from my hometown and inspire them to be the best they can be,” says Outsyd DJ.

His mission is evident in the music he has released. In 2022, he dropped “Kudos” featuring Edo artist AttiFaya and top artists Ice Prince and Skiibii. Next was the viral song “Feel D Mood,” featuring young and fast-rising Edo artists Famous Pluto, Outsyd Eddie, and Tegaboi DC. This song’s viral success has increased his visibility and reinforced his role as pivotal in promoting the Benin sound to mainstream audiences.

Outsyd DJ plans to take the world by storm with fresh music, high-energy sets, unique party experiences, and tasteful music collaborations.
