Asake Wins Best African Act Ahead Of Tyla At MOBO

Nigerian artist Asake has won the “Best African Act” at the recently concluded Music Of Black Origins Awards (MOBO) held in Sheffield United Kingdom, triumphing over Grammy winner Tyla.


The singer’s success came less than a week after he lost to South African sensation Tyla at the Grammy.

Other Nigerian artists were also nominated in the group including Davido, BurnaBoy, Ayra Star, Rema and Adekunle Gold.

Nigerian gospel singer Limoblaze also took home the gospel act award.

They joined the ranks of past Mobo winners like Wizkid and Burna Boy, who have left an indelible mark on the international music scene.
