Association to sanction journalists over reports on factional Ohanaeze Ndigbo

The leadership of Igbo Journalists Association (IJA) has resolved to henceforth blacklist Igbo journalists who give coverage to the factional Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide apart from the authentic body.

Also, the IJA has expressed gratitude to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by the President-General, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, for officially announcing the association as an affiliate member of Ohanaeze with all the recognition, right and privileges accorded.

It specially thanked Iwuanyanwu for making it possible for the IJA to occupy the status. National Coordinator of the IJA, Amby Uneze, who gave the resolutions in Owerri, while fielding questions from The Guardian, at the weekend, maintained that the only recognised President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide by all the Igbo speaking states and governors is Iwuanyanwu, stressing that all the processes were carried out and he emerged after the then President-General, Prof. George Ibiozor, died.
