Ayra Star Announces Second Album “The Year I Turned 21”

Nigerian artist Ayra Starr has announced her upcoming sophomore album titled The Year I Turned 21. Fans are eagerly anticipating its release as she unveils the album’s title, cover art, and a glimpse into the tracklist.

The album is scheduled for release on May 21 release through Universal Music. She shared the album’s cover image on her Instagram page, with a pre-ad link provided in her bio.


The album will feature collaborations with artists such as Giveon, the soulful R&B sensation from the United States, and  Brazilian pop star Anitta.

Additionally, the Grammy-nominated singer joins forces with Coco Jones, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Milar, and other notable Nigerian talents.

Some of the songs on the album include Birds Sing Of Money, Goodbye (Warm Up), Woman Commando, and Control.


Before this announcement, the singer had a scheduled tour with Chris Brown.

R&B star Muni Long will join the Grammy-nominated singer as they perform in 26 cities across the United States and Canada.

Breaking into the mainstream with her self-titled extended play, Ayra Starr, the singer soared to commercial success. Her debut album, “19 & Dangerous,” further showcased her talents as one of Afrobeat’s finest, exploring a rich blend of Afropop and R&B.

She will be joined by R&B star Muni Long as Chris Brown performs in 26 cities across the United States and Canada.

The singer released her first studio album titled Bloody Samaritan in 2021.
