Former Director General, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Danladi Bako, and veteran broadcaster, Chief Julie Coker, have paid tribute to ace broadcaster and actor, Sadiq Daba,
Bako posted on his Facebook page: “I first heard your voice introducing your programme ‘This is S A D I Q’ on Radio Television Kaduna in 1974. Then, I was also on Radio Nigeria Kaduna as a reporter/announcer.
International acclaim finally beckoned with your five-star outing on the movie, October 1, as Inspector Waziri. Rest in peace.”
Similarly, Coker told The Guardian in Lagos yesterday that she was in shock. “He assisted us in many productions when he came from NTA Sokoto. He was one of the brains behind the production of Moment of Truth.
The movie won international awards. He was an easy-going person. May his soul rest in peace.”
