A foremost waste management company in Nigeria has advocated recycling of waste as the ultimate solution to indiscriminate waste disposal and evacuation, while commending Lagos State Government bold initiative on the ban of styrofoam single use plastics.
The Managing Director of the Company and inventor of ‘Pioneer Waste Unit’ Ambassador Promise Ekpoye Nakus sent the message of advocacy and commendation while speaking on possibilities of transforming waste to wealth and employment during an environmental advocacy programme organized by the company in some communities in Abuja municipal area council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
According to the inventor of Pioneer Waste Unit, other state governments across the country should emulate the Lagos State Government and step up actions on the ban to further embrace recycling of waste in order to solve the problem where some capital cities are littered with garbage heaps.
Promise Ekpoye Nakus submitted that the Lagos States Government’s initiative on the ban placed on Styrofoam single use plastic can only yield fruitful results if recycling and partnership is given due attention.
He said the idea of recycling is in line with the modern world wide approach to changing strategic actions for cleaner cities in view of the coming disaster of plastic pollution hence Pioneer Waste Unit was invented and recycling plants was mapped out and seeking implementation through partnership with the Government.
The managing director stated that Pioneer Waste Master is irrevocably committed to conversion of waste to wealth as the cardinal vision and objective of the company to provide ten million jobs for our teeming youths in Nigeria and use it as well to generate revenue for Government.
Ambassador Ekpoye Nakus stressed that the Company pledged submission and willingness to work with Government on partnership to setting up recycling plants across the country to solve the problem of now and future danger of pollution on indiscriminate usage of plastics and formulation of strategic policies to make waste recycling an management the ultimate solution as applicable to other nations of the world.
The Pioneer Waste Master Limited and the inventor of Pioneer Waste Unit expressed confidence that responsible Governments always proffer solutions and trust the Government of his Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR preparedness to address the problem of indiscriminate waste evacuation and disposal in Nigeria.
