Bandits, yesterday, attacked Dogarawa community in Sabon Gari Local Council of Kaduna State, abducted a woman, Halima, and her son, Yusuf Bello, and took them to an unknown destination.

An eyewitness said the head of the family, Mallam Bello, escaped during the attack, but the bandits held onto his wife, a middle-aged woman, and her son.

When contacted, spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incident.

This came as some aggrieved people at Tumburku, a village in Giwa Local Council of the state, staged a protest over incessant kidnappings by gunmen in the area.

The protesters marched to the Emir of Zazzau’s palace in large numbers to express their anger over the invasion of Zaria by terrorists.

Speaking with newsmen, spokesperson for the protesters, Sani Danlami, said they were at the palace to lodge their complaints to the state government through the emir, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.

He expressed hope that the monarch, being a listening father, would take their plea to Governor Uba Sani for immediate action.

Recall that the village was attacked by bandits in the early hours of Monday.
