Bandits have kidnapped a judge of the Upper Customary Court, Sabon Tasha Division in Kaduna State, Janet Galadima, and her four children.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, told Channels Television that the bandits kidnapped the victims from their residence in Mahuta, Chikun local government on June 24, 2024.
Hassan also said that the bandits later killed the judge’s 14-year-old eldest son, Victor Galadima, whose corpse was found by police operatives from the Sabon Tasha Division at Ungwan Bayero of Dutse village, near the toll gate, along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway on Tuesday, July 2.

“The kidnappers are demanding a ₦300m ransom to release the judge and her remaining three children,” the police spokesman stated.
He further explained that the police anti-kidnapping squad is working tirelessly with other security agencies to rescue the judge and her remaining three children and apprehend the bandits.
Meanwhile, The Guardian’s investigation revealed that the Nigerian Police Force is already working on the incident, according to spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi’s reaction to a post by an X user, @Nigerian_Doctor.
“FIVE days ago, we pleaded for ur help with the kidnapping of the family of Dr. Gimba, a Nigerian doctor. N300 Million Ransom demanded,” the post read.

“Now, his 14-year-old son, Victor, is DEAD. PLS, We need urgent intervention from security personnel to rescue our colleague’s remaining children and wife. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.”
Replying, Adejobi said: “The Force Headquarters (FHQ) is engaging the Kaduna State Command on this matter. We would like to directly engage any of their relatives.
