BBNaija Venita Advices Women Not To Get Married Before Age 28

In an interview on The Big Friday Show, Big Brother Naija star Venita Akpofure shared her strong advice against early marriages, emphasizing the importance of waiting until one is at least 28 years old. Venita’s candid remarks were made during a discussion with fellow reality star Tacha, where she urged women to focus on enjoying their lives before considering marriage.

“Don’t marry young o! Don’t go and do ‘I’m doing high school sweetheart. We die here.’ Just be young! Enjoy your life. When you’re tired, get married,” Venita asserted during the conversation.

The mother of two particularly emphasized her stance for her daughter, stating, “If my daughter approaches me, as long as she’s not, I swear to God, not up to 28, we can rock with it. Anything below 28, please no.” Venita’s advice centers on the belief that individuals need to fully discover themselves before committing to marriage.

While acknowledging that some people may mature at a younger age, Venita stressed the importance of exploring various aspects of life to make informed decisions about marriage. “Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are mature, oh. But you need to try different things in life, different experiences, to be sure of okay, I want to be stuck here. Because it’s handcuff, you’re there,” she explained.

Drawing from her personal experience, Venita, who is divorced, provided insights into the challenges of long-term commitment. She suggested that couples consider having separate yet connected rooms to maintain independence and avoid potential conflicts.
