Bella Shmurda soars with DND

Following the successes of his last album, Hypertension, which garnered over 250 million song plays, African street-pop crooner, Bella Shmurda, has tightened grip on his latest jam dubbed, DND. The song, which is an abbreviation for “Do Not Disturb,” is a prelude to his forthcoming EP of the same title.

In DND, Shmurda taps his contemporary Lil Kesh to create an appealing sonic delight that reverberates with the current template of Amapiano-Afrobeats fusions.

Produced by Rewardbeatz, DND is a summer-ready song that sees Bella reach into his emotive hive of harmonies for a groovy hook, while Lil Kesh powers through with quick bars and laudable flows.

Speaking about the song, Bella Shmurda tells Weekend Beats that, “Rewardbeatz crafted the instrumental, and recorded a demo in the studio with Lil Kesh. Kesh then sent the draft to me to check it out and see if I liked the track. I listened to it and immediately started recording what I was feeling at the moment, and that’s how ‘DND’ was born. The song perfectly captures my current headspace, where I don’t want to be disturbed, while I do things my way.”
