Bellagio Airlines boss lauds leadership of NCAA

The chairman of Nigeria’s new niche airline, Dr. Oludare Akande has lauded the new leadership of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, under its Acting Director-General, Captain Chris Najomo, for groundbreaking initiatives in the nation’s aviation sector.

In a chat with newsmen today, Dr. Akande noted that the appointment Capt. Najomo to the NCAA has in a short time, heralded rapid transformation in the sector.

“Under his leadership, a dynamic reform agenda has been set in motion to tackle longstanding challenges within the agency. Key initiatives such as a simplified certification and licensing processes, coupled with an ICT Transformation, EMPIC and Change management processes, are already yielding tangible results.

“Another notable achievement is the significant rise in timely responses on application processes compared to previous timelines.”

According to Dr. Akande, the remarkable progress made underscores the commitment and vision of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, to usher in a new era of growth and efficiency within the Nigerian aviation sector.

With these reforms, he said, the sector is poised to attract increased investment opportunities, aligning seamlessly with the overarching agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dr. Akande further commended the minister for his “steadfast support and decisive action in driving forward more and more transformative changes in the aviation sector within a remarkably short period of time.”

“The Nigerian aviation sector is on an upward trajectory, and with continued dedication and collaborative effort, is primed to achieve even greater milestones in now and in the future,” he said.
