Beware of political elite’s antics, group warns voters

Nigeria Project has warned the electorate to be wary of the tricks and exploitative agenda of politicians who are desperate to win elections, saying Nigeria must be put ahead of any individual interest.

Chief Advocate of the group, Niyi Akinsuji, during a visit to renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, in his Bauchi residence, said Nigeria’s challenges of 1960 have continued to haunt it despite efforts of successive governments.

“Our concern is the political colouration of the Nigerian environment. We have realised that there are many cleavages and we also have many violence exponents.”

The group said that most political utterances shape the national life; hence, citizens must be properly educated on what politicians preach to them.

Bauchi prayed for the unity of the country and blessed the team.
