Beyoncé Makes History on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart

Global Pop star Beyoncé has hit a major milestone by landing two new songs on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Her tracks “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” debuted at No. 1 and No. 9 respectively. These songs, released on Feb. 11, also made waves on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart, ranking at No. 2 and No. 38.

This achievement comes ahead of Beyoncé’s upcoming album “Act II,” scheduled for release on March 29, following her 2022 album “Renaissance.”

Luminate, a platform that measures music, sales, streams, downloads, and airplay, said “Texas Hold ‘Em” gathered over 19 million streams, reached nearly 5 million listeners on the radio, and sold 39,000 copies in the U.S while “16 Carriages” also did well, with 10 million streams, 90,000 radio plays, and 14,000 sales.

Beyoncé’s rise to the top of the Hot Country Songs chart makes her the first woman to achieve this since the charts began in 1958.

She also joins Morgan Wallen, Bieber, Billy Ray Cyrus and Ray Charles as the only artists to have led both charts.

Her song “Texas Hold ‘Em” is now being promoted on country radio and has made appearances on other charts like Pop Airplay and Digital Song Sales.

Overall, Beyoncé’s venture into country music, though still side eyed by some people, is proving to add another layer to her already impressive career.
