Twelve people were, on Wednesday, killed in three bomb blasts in Gombe, the capital of Gombe state. This came a week after twin blasts killed 50 people at the city’s central market.

The Guardian reports that the first blast occurred inside Dadi-kowa Motor Park at about 7pm, while the second occurred outside the park.
The attacks were carried out with Improvised Explosive Devices worn by Male and Female suicide bombers.

Shortly after, at about 7:30pm, a third blast occurred in another motor park some kilometres from the first one.
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists had, Last week, killed 50 people inside the town’s main market in what many considered one of the deadliest attacks in Gombe in recent times.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Atajiri, confirmed the blast, just as the area has been cordoned off and victims taken to hospital.
