Burial rites for former FUTA teacher, Fanoro, begins today

The families of Pa Adeniyi Augustus Fanoro of Ilutitun-Osoro in Okitipupa Local Council of Ondo State have announced the passing unto eternal glory of their illustrious son, Olorunlogbon Adeniyi Fanoro, aged 71.

The first son of the deceased engineer, Dr. MokesiOluwa Adeniyi (Fanoro) in a statement, said the death occurred on May 27, 2023 and that the burial programme begins today with a night of commendation at St Ann’s Anglican Church, Awule Road, Akure.


The following day the body of the former lecturer at the Federal University of Technology Akure, leaves the Ondo State capital for a Christian wake keep at his residence on Ikoya Road, Ilutitun-Osoro.

On Friday, July 14, there will be a memorial service in his honour at Ebenezer Cathedral of the Diocese On The Coast, Anglican Communion, where he was the Diocesan engineer until his death, to be conducted by the Bishop, Rt. Revd Oluwaseyi Pirisola, to be followed by interment at the Church’s Cemetery and reception for guests at the Church’s Civic Hall behind the Cathedral.

He is survived by two other children, FiyinfOluwa and Dr. SimileOluwa Adewole.
