Nigerian Grammy-winning sensation Burna Boy has teamed up with South African artists TitoM, Yuppe, and S.N.E on the highly-anticipated remix of their global hit, ‘Tshwala Bam’ by dropping a music video.

The remix has gained momentum on streaming platforms. It reached number 1 on
Nigeria Apple Music top songs with over 561,000 streams on Spotify in its first full day of tracking.

Their collaboration was first revealed in a leaked video clip. The video showed Burna Boy with TitoM, Yuppe, and S.N.E in the studio during their recent visit to Nigeria. This only intensified the anticipation.

The much-awaited remix was officially released on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Burna Boy, known for his ability to elevate tracks through remixes, infused his signature sound into ‘Tshwala Bam,’ following his successful remixes of hits like Master KG’s ‘Jerusalema’ and Asake’s ‘Sungba.’

Originally released on February 23rd, ‘Tshwala Bam’ and its dance challenge have gone viral on social media. It gathered 11.5 billion TikTok views and over 100 million streams across streaming services. The track has dominated global charts, including number 9 on the Global Shazam charts and top spots on Spotify Viral charts in multiple countries.

The viral challenge, embraced by fans worldwide, has been danced to by celebrities like Kai Cenat, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Jayda Wayda, Shenseea, Saucy Santana, Poco Lee, Kamo Mphela, and more. It stands as the largest Amapiano record of 2024 and is the first South African song in three years to reach the number-one spot on Apple Music in Nigeria.

In addition, Burna Boy has secured two nominations at the prestigious BET Awards. The ‘Ye’ hitmaker has been nominated in two major categories: Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
