Business mogul pledges moot court for LAUTECH

Oludare Akande

Offers jobs to three graduates
A philanthropist and international business mogul in the area of aviation, Dr Oludare Akande, has urged Nigerians to give back to the education sector in the country.

Akande, who said government should not be left alone with the responsibility of funding education, added that by giving back to the education sector, “we are all contributing towards human development and resources, which is the best form of ways in growing a nation.”

The business mogul, who also promised to facilitate a standard Moot Court for Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, said the moot court would be used in the training of students in the impending Faculty of Law.

Akande said the gesture was a form of appreciating the favour of God in his life.

He, however, offered letters of employment to three graduates of the institution, including the overall best student during the last convocation ceremony of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Oladoja Olalade; Ajayi Peter Adewale, who studied Computer Engineering and Mercy Olamide, a graduate of Computer Science.

Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Rom Kalilu, appreciated Akande’s intervention in offering jobs and cash gifts to the best graduate of the university and other graduates who did well in their studies during the 16th convocation.

He said the university would continue to provide unique human development to enhance the Nigerian workplace.
