The stage is set for the 2025 edition of the Almond Insurance Industry Awards, an annual celebration that brings together key stakeholders from across Nigeria’s insurance ecosystem, policymakers, clients, and the general public.

The event, themed #Recharged Edition, will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Stable Event Centre, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos. Red carpet kicks off at 4:00 p.m., while the main awards ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m.

Organised by Almond Productions Limited, the awards will honour outstanding individuals and organisations in nine categories spanning the life, general, micro, and Takaful insurance sectors.

Speaking on preparations, Ms. Faith Ughwode, Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions, said this year’s edition promises to be one of the most exciting yet, with a rich lineup of entertainers and distinguished guests.

“We’re taking the experience a notch higher this year. Top-rated comedians such as Creative Toby, Mc Taichi, and Mc Obinna will thrill the audience, while the ‘party shutdown king,’ Slimcase, leads the musical performances. The legendary Segun Arinze will serve as host,” Ughwode said.

She added that beyond celebration, the awards aim to reshape public perception of the insurance industry in Nigeria using pop culture and entertainment to connect with the country’s youthful demographic.

“For a long time, the insurance industry has struggled with issues of mistrust. By blending fun, culture, and recognition, we are building bridges between industry players and the public,” she explained.

Among the high-profile personalities expected to grace the occasion are former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi; Mrs. Rollence McCoy, President of WIMAfrica; and Mr. Emmanuel Evue, Chairman of Emalsson Enterprises Ltd., among others.

Award categories for this year include: Insurance CEO of the Year, General Insurance Company of the Year, Life Insurance Company of the Year, Insurance Broking Company of the Year, Insurance Woman of the Year, Insurance Broker of the Year, Takaful Company of the Year, Microinsurance Company of the Year, Most Valuable Insurance Customer of the Year.

The event, which has grown into one of the most anticipated nights in Nigeria’s insurance calendar, is strictly black-tie and ticketed.
