Celebrity voiceover artist, Ewoma Oyegwa, has been speaking on how the sector has been impacted by the advent of technological innovations.

A graduate of Computer Science at Lagos City Polytechnic, Ewoma Oyegwa, is without equivocation one of the best voiceover artists in Nigeria today. Her foray into the industry did not start the usual way. It was a passion she from being a frequent radio listener from her teens days

Influenced by other media content, the celebrity voiceover artist began dreaming of replicating the captivating voices she often heard in content she exposed herself to.

As she fantasised, a meeting with top media personality IK Osakioduwa on Rhythm 93.7 Lagos changed the whole dynamics as she started an inspiring and thrilling journey that has turned him into an encyclopedia of contemporary voiceover artist.

Eleven years on, Ewoma Oyegwa has become the best in what she does. The entertainer has since worked with and for the best media establishments, local and multinational companies in the country. The Isoko woman from Delta State has played the official voice of radio stations like Cool FM, Red Radio by United Bank for Africa, Max FM Nigeria and TVC Entertainment

She has also been the host of radio and TV shows. She presently hosts a music countdown show on Max FM102.3 Lagos and Max FM 90.9 Abuja. Ewoma Oyegwa produced and voiced radio and television commercials, E-learning courses, IVRs, explainer videos for big brands such as Jumia, Access Bank, UBA, GTCO, Power Oil, Indomie, 5 Alive, MTN Nigeria, Redbull etc.

Speaking in an interview, Ewoma Oyegwa demonstrated uncommon knowledge, intelligence and deep awareness of her craft as a voiceover artist and creative producer, talking about what will likely form the core of the fast-evolving profession soon.

“As a voiceover artist and creative producer, I see several promising trends indicating the potential for significant developments in the future. One notable precursor is the increasing demand for immersive audio experiences across various platforms, including virtual reality, augmented reality, and gaming. This trend suggests a growing need for skilled professionals who can craft compelling narratives and deliver high-quality voice performances to enhance these experiences”, said the celebrity voice artist.
