Ceylon to hold boat exhibition

Ceylon Marine has concluded plans to host the first-ever boat exhibition in Nigeria to grow the fishing sector of the maritime industry.

Disclosing this in a statement, the Managing Director, Ceylon Marine, Mr. Chris Ajayi, said events lined up for the exhibition would include a Pre-launch of Ceylon Mini-Trawlers that would allow fishermen and women to survey the mini trawler and its advantages over what was currently obtainable as well as attract massive discount

Ajayi also revealed that every boat ordered from the exhibition would attract additional resources such as a detailed feasibility study of the fishing business and showing cash flow analysis and profitability.
According to him, other incentives for order include, facilitation of the provision of operational space at fisheries terminal in Lagos and any other terminal of interest in Nigeria.

He said there would be a training of crew members at no cost to the company on the usage of modern fishery tools like satellite technology for fishing, use of fish finder and echo sounder.

“As a way of encouraging potential investors, we offer 20 per cent discount on the cost of acquisition of the trawler if an order is placed during the exhibition. The pre-launch exhibition will hold at the annex Boatyard Badore–Eleko beach, Lagos from July 12 to 16, 2023,” he said.
