Christ Embassy group empowers women, youths in Lagbasa

Pearl l Women Group of Christ Embassy, Ajah, recently organised a one-day vocational training with theme, “Redeeming Times,” to empowered women and youths in Lagbasa, Lagos, to be self-reliant and wealth creators.

The woman leader, Sister Chinyere Egbarin, while addressing the over 80 women and youths that participated at the event explained that the skill acquisition programme aimed at repositioning the psyche of participants to serve God and raise entrepreneurs for the wellbeing of the society.


Egbarin advised participants to look up to God for sustenance, especially at this critical times that there is an economic downturn, inflation, hunger and unemployment across the nation.

She enjoined them to acquire valuable skills to support what they already have to keep their families together, happy and alive, adding that the master classes of the various training will be a continuous one and not a one-off event.

A caterer and resource person, Sister Judith Kings, who taught participants how to prepare small chops and samosa disclosed that an individual can start small chops business at a small scale level with N10, 000 and could grow it to full business if focused, committed and consistent.

She advised women to support their husbands and families physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Another resource person, a hair stylist, Sister Goodness Ojor, urged participants to learn different hair beautifying skills for better prospect and more income generation.

Other areas of training included soap making, PoS operation, graphics and catering.
