Fast-growing record label, Chukie Hauz Entertainment (CHE) has revealed plans to sign talented and skillful music artists to its label.
The Chief Executive Officer of CHE, Ifeanyibema Osademe, made this known in a recent interview while speaking to newsmen in Lagos.
According to Osademe the label launched in Lagos in May 2023, and currently has one artist signed to the label but hopes to scout for more throughout the year.
Disclosing some of the skills CHE looks forward to while scouting and picking talented artists, Osademe said: “I look at everything when signing, your look should be sellable, your character is going to be of good help since we plan on making you a public figure”.
However addressing how his record label hopes to tackle challenges ahead and how they stand out among other labels, he said “I come from a family of local musicians, I know what good music means and that’s what we are bringing. The challenges ahead are like the challenges we have passed, there must be challenges, but we will give our best and talk to people who have successful labels”.
On signing already made artists, Osademe responded by saying upcoming will be better off in terms of managing them than popular artists, in his words “I just feel it is better to start with what can be easily worked with, bigger already made will be more difficult to work with.”
