The Society For Notaries Public ‘TSNP’ is proud to announce the official launch of the Notaries Public Society, a society dedicated to advancing the standards and practice of notarial practice in Nigeria.


The special guest of honour is the Chief Justice of Nigeria – Mr. Kayode Ariwoola given his esteemed reputation and significant contributions to the legal profession in Nigeria.

The Notaries Public Society aims to provide a professional platform for notaries public, offering resources, training, and support to ensure the highest level of integrity and proficiency in the execution of notarial duties.


The society will also advocate for the interests of notaries public and promote public awareness about the importance of notarial services in legal and commercial transactions.

“We are excited to launch the Notaries Public Society, which will serve as a cornerstone for enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of notaries public in Nigeria,” said Chief (Mrs) Marlies Allanthe President & Master of Notaries-In-Council.

“Our goal is to support notaries in their vital role of ensuring the authenticity and integrity of legal documents, thereby contributing to the overall trust and reliability of our legal system,” said Justice Ayo Phillips (Rtd).


The event will bring together all stakeholders within the notary public value chain.This includes the consulates and embassies of the UK, US, South Africa, Dubai & Canada, President of the Africa Notaries Society, representative of the Notaries Society of Australia, Ireland and the UK.
Highlights of the event would include the induction of new members by the Council of Notaries, launch of the Society’s online notarisation platform with ToNote Technologies amongst others.

The event which is strictly by invitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Marriott Hotel, G.R.A Ikeja-Lagos.

The honorary secretary/trustee of the Society for Notaries Public, Mr. Muyiwa Ayojimi emphasised that “TSNP was established with the mission to professionalize, promote excellence and integrity in Notarial Practice in Nigeria.”
