Cleric asks Nigerian leaders to borrow ideas from their followers to move country forward

Nigerian leaders have been urged to borrow ideas from their followers to move the country forward.

President, Christ For All Souls Ministry World-Wide, Adedoyin Olawunmi Ezekiel made the call while speaking on the state of the nation in Ikotun, Lagos.

He also said that Nigerians leaders are once followers who became corrupt before they were elected, and thereby called on followers to be responsible and be nation-building-minded.

He asked that everyone in the country to come to God: “The first thing to do is to come to God and live the life God wants us to live. Many Nigerian leaders do not love their followers and the followers too are not acting right.

“God loves Nigeria; Nigeria is one of the countries God like most but we don’t like ourselves. If we can come together and solve our problem, everything will be well.

“Despite the economic despair, there people who are still living fine so, if we do the right thing, we will live right; our leaders cannot do it alone. The followers voted for the leaders so, they must play their part, leaders must also borrow ideas from their followers because they will fail woefully if they claim to know all. The leaders must listen and pray, borrow ideas and do the right thing.

Speaking on insecurity and corruption, he said: The Lord said that many secrets will be revealed. The job of security is not for one person. There are so many corrupt followers. A corrupt follower will make a corrupt leader. Majority of the leaders have been corrupted before they get there . When we have better leaders, then we will have better followers and when we have better followers, we will have leaders.

“In term of security, the Lord says that there will be killings this year because there will be weaken in security so, the government must be vigilant about there are enemies amongst the friends. The President should not talk about the next election but focus on the job, he should work as if he won’t leave government and he will see a greater result.”
